“Kyiv is introducing a curfew from today [February 24]. It will operate from 22:00 to 07:00. This is a forced step, but in the current conditions of military aggression and martial law, it is necessary for the safety of the residents of the capital, ”wrote the Kiev mayor.
According to him, urban public transport will not work during the curfew, metro stations will be open around the clock as bomb shelters.
Also, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, over the past few hours, more than 10,000 automatic rifles have been issued to the residents of Kiev.

Deep underground metro stations can also be used as bomb shelters. According to the estimates of the Kiev authorities, up to 2 million people can take refuge in them, although Klitschko added that, in his opinion, the probability of Kiev being bombed by rockets and aircraft is low.
